City Public Hearings

The Planning Commission held a Public Hearing on Monday October 13, 2008 at the Justice Complex on Crawford Avenue for a new Exterior Lighting Ordinance and for a new Fence Ordinance.

A copy of the proposed ordinances is available at City Hall.

The Planning Commission recommended approval of both new ordinances. These will go before the Board of Aldermen for approval at their next meeting.

The city approved the lighting ordinance in December. A summary of an item effecting Bradford Place is that all exterior lights over 100 watts must have the bulbs covered from view from street or surrounding residential property or aimed downward 45 degrees from horizontal so as not to cause objectionable glare off property.

You may contact City Hall at 601-856-7116 for more information.
